German tuner creates world's fastest four-seat coupe

If there's one thing you're unlikely to think after driving a BMW M6, it's that it needs more power. But that's clearly exactly what the folks at G-Power in Autenzell, Germany felt.

As result, the German tuner has created this, the G-Power Hurricane M6 RR, which it describes as the 'world's fastest four-seat coupe'.

In order to justify that claim, G-Power was wound the M6's V10 up to 789bhp and 590lb ft of torque, the extra 289bhp and 207lb ft coming courtesy of twin (yes, twin) superchargers.

The result is 0-62mph in 4.35secs, 0-124mph in 9.3secs, 0-186mph in 24.9secs, and a truly epic top speed of more than 231mph.

Such figures aren't optimistically imaginary, either - G-power has experience with absurdly powerful BMWs as it already converts M5s into true super-saloons by bolting on two ASA T1-316 radial superchargers to the 5.0-litre V10.

Of course, if you've got a car capable of 230mph, you want to make sure the aerodynamics are sound. To this end, the Hurricane RR gets a carbon-fibre front skirt and a rear spoiler for greater aerodynamic downforce at high speeds.

We're not sure about the looks, but we'd certainly be grateful for the extra aerodynamic assistance...

Inevitably, there's bigger rubber too, with the 20-inch forged alloys fitted with 255/35 ZR 20 tyres at the front and 285/30 ZR 20 rubber at the rear. Meatier brakes and adjustable coil over suspension complete the dynamic picture.

Should you fancy a 230mph twin-supercharged BMW coupe, G-Power will get you a complete vehicle for the magnificently precise price of 252,100.84 euros (£215k). And if that's a bit steep for you, the company will convert your own M6 for just 56,000 euros plus fitting (£48k). You'll only get 740bhp for that, though - and that would just be rubbish...
